Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958, in extremely poor conditions. Her father worked in the automotive industry and her mother was a teacher at the school, and she was not a reliable actor. Jennifer was the second child in a four-child family frequently attended her mother's theater performance and was awestruck. When Jennifer was just five years old she divorced her parents. Jennifer was a resident of British Columbia for most of her life following the divorce of her mother, along with the other four children moved there. Jennifer never was a studious person although she did have an artistic talent in her youth. She was frequently the target of bullying because of her experience in Canada's schools. As her interest in theatre began to fade in high school she started playing in theatre alongside her mother. All of her children were inspired by their mother to pursue a love of art. Then she began acting.
